A recent study done at the University of Texas found that people remember:
- 10% of what they read.
- 20% of what they hear.
- 30% of what they see.
- 50% of what they see and hear!
The study’s conclusion: “We absorb information best by using multiple senses. Make your impressions visual, verbal and auditory.”
Drawing from your own experience, you’ve likely been more engaged by a YouTube video than a Wikipedia article. Other studies show that you often have no more than one minute, 60 seconds, to engage new site visitors and catch their interest. This is often a challenge with text and images. Might your “elevator pitch” on video be a bit more compelling?
Let me make a quick disclaimer … I don’t produce videos. I design and script videos and assure that they are compatible with the rest of your site’s content but I then pass the creation to a strategic partner, Ovation Solutions. I say “partner” because I maintain their Website; they produce my videos. Ovation Solutions offers:
- An Emmy Award winning camera crew.
- Talented illustrators.
- Skilled animators:
